Systems Self-development vs. Personal Growth

Continuous self-development, becoming the best version of yourself, and changing the world for the better are extremely important matters. However, there is no need to develop everything in sight while having no distinct understanding of what you should start with, but it is better to build a system. Having the system built, things to be improved will be clear to you — what knowledge is not enough and how the one you already learned can be implemented in projects.

However, we distinguish the systems self-development and personal growth. Personal growth is only focused on a person’s identity, while systems self-development considers the systems a person constructs in different roles. In the first case, we think about achieving success, earning money, coping with anxiety, leaving or entering our comfort zone, etc. As a result, we have a person reshaped themselves (came into one’s own). And in the second case, the focus shifts to the systems built for and with other people, and we measure the person’s success by the success of the built systems.

The course “Systems Self-development” analyzes a person’s needs and desires. We consider all the dissatisfactions through the lens of actions — what system one constructs in what role using what practice. The quality of the action determines the general person’s satisfaction. We state the world as the main object of attention in the course. Your personality develops while you continuously improve it with ethics and a conscious approach.

Throughout our lives, we participate in numerous personal and working projects. These projects require specific skills in a variety of roles. Playing these roles, you develop your skill in performing a particular role. A role-performing skill has no boundaries — we are at the beginning of infinity and can improve ourselves open-endednessly.

The systems approach helps define your interests and offers tools for creating successful systems that can help you live a happy and fulfilled life. Personal growth itself is not the key; “Myself” — is just one of the systems. The key is to understand what systems you want to create and how they will affect the world.
