The third-week slump refers to a common phenomenon where individuals lose motivation and struggle to maintain their workout routines after a few weeks of starting a new fitness program. This often occurs due to unrealistic expectations, physical fatigue, and a lack of planning, making it crucial to set manageable goals and incorporate rest days to overcome this challenge.
So yes — two people quit early because of the language barrier. Yesterday only one out of eight showed up for the regular online session. This doesn’t surprise me. I launched the program based on parity principles, and everyone who joins is free to engage at their own pace.
A lack of attention and shifting focus are things I constantly deal with as a manager. If we want people to be more engaged and motivated, we need to anticipate the pitfalls and model the workflow more accurately. Since I created this program to support my own LinkedIn activity and share insights with the Aisystant community, the current situation affects me quite a bit.
These weeks have helped me refine my understanding of how to build the kind of global networking I want. There are many people on the platform working toward the same goal, and there is a lot of shared experience to learn from.
I’ve already completed all account sections (header, banner, About, Experience, Featured, Credentials, etc.), aligning them with the value I bring and the skills and experience I actually rely on. It took a lot of effort because my projects are very diverse, and I had to reflect deeply on the perspective from which I want people to see my expertise.
Because I’m heavily involved in education, I tend to be perceived as an external consultant or a trainer, but I don’t want that. My goal is to take ownership of design and construction projects and deliver them. So my profile is structured accordingly, and all upcoming content is planned to reinforce that positioning: no posts about training non-AEC teams or general self-development — instead, industry insights and case studies.
Next week (Week 4), I planned to host an interview with someone experienced on LinkedIn. I might postpone it a bit, but overall, I now have a clear understanding of how to move forward.
